Mary Poppins Takes Center Stage In The Guestrooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian
Now, let’s dive into the enchanting world of the Mary Poppins-themed rooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian.
If you’ve stayed at Wilderness Lodge, you’ll find a very familiar room layout with generous closet space in the entrance area and a quaint countertop area, complete with a coffee maker and mini-fridge. The theme park view guestrooms come with either 1 King Bed and 1 Double-Size Sleeper Sofa or 2 Queen Beds or 2 Queen and 1 Day Bed.
The bathroom features a rather whimsical mirror and his-and-hers sinks await. A sliding, soft-closing door adds a touch of elegance, though we did notice the absence of a leg rest in the shower which was really nice to have at Wilderness Lodge.
With the new room renovations Disney has added USB-A and USB-C charging ports all throughout. Here you’ll find them in the main dresser, and in the bedside tables.
But what truly sets this room apart are the countless nods to the beloved Mary Poppins tale. Above the coffee maker, a delightful scene unfolds in the wallpaper, featuring Mary Poppins alongside the Banks children in a moment of pure magic.
As you gaze around, Mary Poppins’ iconic umbrella dances across lampshades, while above the sofa, paintings transport you to the whimsical world of Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane. Even the decorative bed pillow joins in the fun, adorned with Mary Poppins’ beloved umbrella.
And that view over Bay Lake, with Magic Kingdom off in the distance – no words can truly describe how magical and relaxing it is 🤩
