A Sanctuary of Sophistication: The JW Marriott Bonnet Creek Orlando
Pulling up to the JW Marriott, we were like, “Whoa, this place is swanky!” But don’t let that intimidate you. The staff were super welcoming, making us feel right at home from the get-go.
Even though I checked-in using my Bonvoy app, and had a mobile key already assigned, we were greeted the minute we walked through the front doors with our bags. We got a full escort to the elevators, including a quick tour of the different restaurants and where things are located. It’s a very personal experience, and we loved it. These little things go a long way towards making your stay kick off on a positive note. The team over at Swan, Dolphin, & Swan Reserve also do this – and it really makes it feel like you are coming back home – even if it’s your first visit!
The Essence of Luxury in Every Corner
From the moment you step into the grand lobby, the JW Marriott Bonnet Creek Orlando envelops you in a sense of luxury that’s both palpable and comforting. The hotel’s design, inspired by its Floridian roots, features a contemporary twist on classic elegance. The lobby, with its soaring ceilings and chic decor, sets the tone for a stay that’s nothing short of extraordinary. And the bars, the massive glass walls, the glimmering pool you can see – it’s quite the atmosphere and really it makes you forget you are even at Disney World. Until someone walks by you wearing Mickey Ears!
The 1 Bedroom Executive Suite: Your Personal Haven
Now, let’s turn our focus to the room. We stayed in the 1 Bedroom Executive King Suite, and let me tell you, it’s like your own little 810 sq. ft. apartment. For those of you based out of New York City, like us, you’d know we aren’t joking when we call this an apartment-sized suite. It’s got a living room to lounge in, a super comfy king-sized bed for those dreamy sleeps, and 1.5 bathrooms (because who likes waiting for the bathroom?). The separate living room is a spacious area for relaxation or entertainment, complete with a 55″ TVs, perfect for a cozy movie night or catching up on your favorite shows.

Spacious Elegance – Like Really Spacious!
As you enter the suite, you’re greeted by a spacious living area, elegantly furnished and designed to make you feel at home. There’s a 55″ TV on the wall, with ambient lighting, an L-shaped couch with plenty of seating, and a workstation area setup in the corner. Plus, one of my favorite parts, an Illy coffee machine! The entryway is also where you will find the a half-bath, or what I refer to as the guest bathroom. This suite is perfect for having friends over, having a space to hang out, and not having anyone use your actual restroom!
The overall suite is huge, and you absolutely never feel like you are lacking space, or storage. Speaking of storage – there is a full walk-in closet in the bedroom! And it locks from the inside if you want to use it as a changing room for a bit of privacy.
And the bathroom – oh boy. Walk-in shower, jacuzzi bathtub, AND A TON OF SPACE! I really don’t want to underplay just how much space there is in this suite.
A View to Remember
One of the highlights of the 1 Bedroom Executive Suite is the breathtaking view. Whether you’re gazing out at the lush Florida landscape or the sparkling pools, or the LED lights on Spaceship Earth at Epcot, the view from your suite is a constant reminder of the beauty of Orlando that surrounds you. And that beauty is easy to see with the floor-to-ceiling windows that are in both the bedroom and the living room in this suite.

Let’s talk food, because, let’s be real, it’s a big deal on vacation – especially at Disney World. The parks have plenty of awesome character dining, and there’s also plenty of Disney dining available outside the parks, but JW Marriott Bonnet Creek offers some spectacular elevated dining experiences – including a Michelin Guide restaurant! This place has truly got it all. With seven distinct on-site restaurant and lounge options, each offering a unique dining experience, your taste buds are in for a delightful journey.

Remember that Michelin Guide restaurant we mentioned? This is it. Their steak? Amazing. Seafood? Super fresh. And if you’re into wine, you’re in for a treat as they boast an impressive 1,200 bottle wine cellar. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that celebrates the art of fine dining.

Perched on the ninth floor, Illume offers a modern Japanese-inspired cuisine in a stunning rooftop setting. This rooftop spot is a winner. Eating yummy Japanese-inspired dishes while watching Disney fireworks in the distance? Yes, please!

For an eclectic mix of innovative small plates and handcrafted libations, the Sear + Sea Lobby Bar is your go-to spot. It’s a lively setting where quality champagnes and the largest gin selection in Orlando, FL, come together.
