The Best Vegan Dining Options in Hollywood Studios at Disney World

Disney & Universal

Hollywood Studios is famous for some of the best thrill rides in the whole of Disney World and its incredible themed lands. With the opening of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land in the past four years Hollywood Studios has now become one of the most popular Disney parks.

With new lands also comes new restaurants and Hollywood Studios is now one of the best parks for vegans to dine in!

In 2019 Disney World announced they would be offering plant-based dishes on almost all their menus. This was great news for vegans as these dishes would be free from meat, fish, dairy, eggs and honey!

There are now hundreds of vegan options at Disney World and the best thing is Disney now puts a green leaf symbol on their menus to show which dishes are plant-based, so it has never been easier to be vegan at Disney World!

Find out below the best vegan options in Hollywood Studios so you know exactly where to dine during your visit!

If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom, make sure to check out our guide on the best vegan dining options in Magic Kingdom!

Table of Contents

Quick Service

Hollywood Studios has a large number of quick service restaurants to choose from, serving a range of different cuisines. Luckily this Disney park has a lot of great vegan foods to enjoy and is the best Disney World park for vegan quick service food!

Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box is a super cute restaurant in Toy Story Land serving classic childhood favorite foods! Vegans can enjoy the grilled ‘cheddar’ sandwich on toasted sourdough or the famous plant-based totchos! The totchos are potato barrels covered in a vegan chili with vegan cheese and are not to be missed!

Rosie’s All American Café

Rosie’s All American Café serves a really unique vegan ‘lobster roll’. This dish is actually made from marinated hearts of palm, celery and apple in an Old Bay dressing and is served with house-made potato chips. This is one of the most unique vegan dishes in Disney World and definitely worth stopping by Rosie’s for!

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Galaxy’s Edge serves one of the top rated vegan dishes in the whole of Disney World! The Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread dish is herb hummus topped with plant-based meatballs, a tomato and cucumber relish and comes with pita bread. Do not skip over this meal as it is out of this world!

There is also a dish on the children’s menu that is plant-based. If you have vegan children, or you are an adult looking for a smaller portion, this is a great option! The Ithorian Pasta Rings is pasta with a plant-based meat marinara sauce and comes with a side of roasted vegetables.

Ronto Roasters

Ronto Roasters is also in Galaxy’s Edge are serves wraps for breakfast and lunch. Both of these are also highly rated dishes! Galaxy’s Edge is one of the most vegan friendly places at Disney World with so many great options available to try.

For breakfast is the triple suns wrap made from plant-based egg, a smoky chickpea-onion slaw and roasted tomato sauce in a pita wrap. You cannot often find vegan breakfast options in the parks so it is amazing to be able to enjoy this at Ronto Roasters!

The lunch option is the zuchii wrap made from grilled zucchini, smoky chickpea-onion slaw and creamy garlic-tahini sauce all in pita bread.

Ronto Roasters restaurant closes at 3pm so make sure you stop for either breakfast or lunch (or both!) and don’t miss out!

At both Ronto Roasters and Docking Bay No 7 Food and Cargo you can also get a fruity snack called Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce. This is comprised of sticks of jicama, cucumber, pineapple, melon and dragon fruit covered in a tamarind sauce and dusted with peppercorn ash. It is a super unique and healthy snack to try during those hot Florida days.

Backlot Express

At Backlot Express you can order a teriyaki tofu bowl which is made with seasoned jasmine rice topped with yuzu-pickled edamame, carrots, cucumber and marinated tofu drizzled with a lemon-tahini-chipotle vinaigrette.

As you can see Hollywood Studios offers a wide variety of different cuisines, which means whatever type of food you are a fan of you can find something to enjoy in this park!

Table Service

Hollywood Studios is a unique Disney park in the sense that it does not have very many table service restaurants. Because of this dining reservations can be very hard to come by so make sure you book as soon as you can, 60 days ahead of your trip!

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is one of the best restaurants in Hollywood Studios for vegans. Not only does it have a super cool theme it also serves some great classic American dishes!

When you step into this restaurant you are transported to a 1950’s drive-in movie theater. The booths are designed to look like classic cars and real movies are projected onto a massive screen!

Food photos here are a bit difficult to do thanks to the dark lighting, so instead here’s a photo of the restaurant!

There are three vegan courses available here. The appetizer is a plant-based spinach and artichoke dip that comes with house-made chips. This is the perfect dish to share!

The entrée is the flying saucer burger, a plant-based burger topped with grilled portobello mushroom, cashew mozzarella ‘cheese’, a vegan garlic-tomato aioli and a nut-free pesto. The unique toppings make this a stand out burger!

The dessert is the cookie shake. An actual vegan milkshake! This is such a rare find so is a real treat to enjoy!

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano

Mama Melrose is the place to come for Italian food! There are three vegan courses you can order here so come hungry!

To start your meal is a classic minestrone soup. The margherita flatbread can also be made vegan upon request.

The entrée is a unique dish made from polenta layered with mushroom, spinach and red peppers and comes with a cashew cheese sauce. If you are looking for a dish that is free from faux meat then this is a great option.

There are two vegan dessert options. Yes two! You can choose from either a classic lemon sorbet or a rich cherry-chocolate cake.

Snacks

Star Wars Galaxy Edge is the best location in Disney World for vegans as not only do you have amazing quick service food from Docking Bay 7 and Ronto Roasters but there are also lots of vegan snacks!

Milk Stand

Visit Milk Stand to try the blue milk and green milk. These drinks are made with a blend of coconut and rice milk and are both totally vegan! The blue milk is fruity and the green milk is citrusy. You can also get versions that contain tequila or rum!

Kat Saka’s Kettle

Also in Galaxy’s Edge is Kat Saka’s Kettle where you can get some interesting popcorn. The buttered blue grains are the regular Disney popcorn but blue. Although Disney popcorn tastes buttery it is totally vegan! You can also get the outpost popcorn for a mix of sweet and spicy popcorn!

Baseline Tap House
BaseLine Tap House at Disney's Hollywood Studios

For a savory snack visit Baseline Tap House, near MuppetVision 3D and get the Bavarian pretzel. Simply order without the beer cheese to make this tasty treat vegan and enjoy the spicy mustard it comes with instead!

Places To Avoid

With so many great options for vegan dining at Disney World, there’s also some places that just aren’t that worth it. Here’s a list of those. While the meals you can get here are still delicious, there’s just better and more creative options out there!

Fairfax Fair
Fairfax Fare at Disney's Hollywood Studios
Fairfax Fare at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Fairfax Fair used to sell amazing Mexican bowls but when this quick service restaurant reopened it came back with a totally new menu serving hot dogs. Unfortunately for vegans there are no plant-based hot dogs!

Instead the option is a Chicago-style hot dog salad. This dish is made with plant-based sausage, romaine, sport peppers, tomato, onion, dill pickle and sweet relish and comes with a rather offputting neon green relish vinegarette. With so many amazing quick service options in Hollywood Studios this is definitely one to skip over.

ABC Commissary
ABC Commissary at Disney's Hollywood Studios
ABC Commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

ABC Commissary used to have some great vegan options and even had some really fantastic vegan breakfast dishes. But when the menu was last updated lots of options were removed and breakfast is no longer served.

The vegan dish here is the California Burger. This burger is not terrible but also nothing to write home about. It comes with a sriracha mayonnaise which gives it a spicy kick so if this is something you are not a fan of be aware!

PizzeRizzo
PizzeRizzo at Disney's Hollywood Studios
PizzeRizzo at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

PizzeRizzo is an Italian quick service restaurant that serves a Spicy Italian ‘Sausage’ Sub. This dish sounds like it will be one to add to your list as it made from a plant-based sausage topped with sweet bell peppers, onions, a mushroom medley and marinara sauce. But with so many amazing vegan options in Hollywood Studios this dish is a bit of a letdown.

Conclusion

Hollywood Studios is a super fun park with some of the best lands and thrill rides in the whole of Disney World! With so many amazing vegan options to keep you fueled up throughout the day you can really enjoy everything this park has to offer!

Quick service dining is the best option for vegans in this park and to save time be sure to mobile order your food! Simply use the My Disney Experience app to pre-order your food to save you time by skipping the regular queue. Not only does this help you have more time to visit all the amazing attractions and shows in this park but as you can select which time you’d like to collect your food you can easily fit a tasty meal into your plans for the day.
